There's a surprising number of different stages to make these designs, but I love the effect that using the real plants has - you get lovely shadows and depth that I don't think I could replicate in something that was all painted. It's such an intuitive process, I never know exactly how the designs will turn out, other than which animal or bird I'm going to use!
