I have no idea where it came from or what it's act I have no idea where it came from or what it's actually supposed to be used for... but I found this little pointy tool buried in my art supplies when I was having a sort out, and it's become my go-to for mark making! Sometimes I don't feel that happy with the overall painting, but when you zoom in you can see it with a fresh point of view and notice some lovely things. If any of you are interested and local to Teesside, I'm helping to run a mindful art workshop at RSPB Saltholme, on Monday 23rd March 🌿 A perfect way to relax and be inspired by the patterns in nature to create simple slow drawings - no art skills or experience needed at all, just an open mind! We'll provide all the materials and a frame for your finished artwork too We'll spend the first part of the session gathering inspiration from around the nature reserve, focussing on all the small details you might usually overlook, then we'll settle into the creativity.
